How FPP4EU collaborates with stakeholders

FPP4EU, a sector group of Cefic, was created in March 2021 to represent the views of its member producers, importers, and users of Fluoroproducts and PFAS, as well as other parties with an interest in the Fluoroproducts and PFAS sector group activities in Europe. From the outset, the group never questioned the need for balanced regulatory action on PFAS to aid EU policymakers in achieving the ambitions set out in the EU Green Deal. The only way to achieve this goal, is through collaboration, which is why FPP4EU established a ‘Collaboration Platform’.

Monthly meetings enable downstream users to connect with manufacturers, importers, and other users to gain insights into the varied applications and uses of PFAS. When relevant, these meetings are opened up to EU policymakers and national authorities. They form a good opportunity for authorities to further clarify ongoing EU policy developments, while manufacturers can answer questions on value chains, and differences in fluorinated chemistries, all within the boundaries of the EU competition compliance rules. Policy makers have also shown special interest in critical applications across numerous industries, including those that enable the ambitions of the Green Deal, such as Green Hydrogen production, electric vehicles and wind turbines. The outcomes of the joint meetings are reported on in the news section of our website.

As sector group of Cefic, FPP4EU is registered in the EU transparency register and adhering to the related code of conduct.
